Who Are We?

IDEAS. WORDS.

RESULTS.

WE
ARE STUDENTS TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

We post several weekly blogs throughout the year to provoke conversation, keep up with current civic issues, and experiment with this new form of communication.

Why do we blog?

Blogging

As an honors course on rhetoric and civic life, we believe that it is our duty to spread awareness on various civic issues both in and outside of the classroom. We have taken the writing, analytical, and deliberative skills that we have learned in class to promote the discussion of these issues. We are more than just college students, we are advocating for a better tomorrow. Here are some of the ways in which we do that:

> Blogging

> Deliberation

> Writing

> Facebook Forum

> Public Speaking

It is important that college students not feel powerless in the midst of today's issues. We have a voice too.

Promoting Advocacy

What is Rhetoric and Civic Life?
"This honors course offers comprehensive training in oral, written, visual, and digital communication for the twenty-first century. It unites these various modes under the flexible art of rhetoric and uses rhetoric both to strengthen communication skills and to sharpen awareness of the challenges and advantages presented by oral, written, visual, and digital modes."
